Meet William
William Gaulden is a dedicated community leader and public servant, currently serving as Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of Athens-Clarke County. In 2025, he announced his candidacy for the Georgia State Senate in District 46, a diverse region that includes Clarke, Oconee, Walton, Barrow, and parts of Gwinnett counties. With the retirement of longtime Senator Bill Cowsert, Gaulden is stepping forward to ensure the voices of all residents are represented with fairness, integrity, and vision.

His campaign is centered on strengthening communities, addressing local needs, and ensuring that families throughout Northeast Georgia have access to opportunity and representation that truly reflects them.
Drawing from his leadership within the Democratic Party and deep ties to the community, Gaulden understands the importance of grassroots engagement and coalition building.
